My look today. Mom and I went shopping and I bought a shirt for her as a mothers day present (it's mothers day in Sweden, love you mom!). I didn't buy much, instead my mom went on a real shopping spree! Probably all time high ;). What do you guys usually do for your mothers on Mother's Day? Tell me!

Just one more picture from a sunny day. I'm working today from 10 to 18, and I am
finally done with the other work I've been so busy with this week. I feel so relieved now!
Because there's nothing more I can do!

from the last morning
Image from the last morning at Gili Air. Yes it's Gili Meno you can see in the background and the Bali volcano!
I'm working in to the last minute and I'm starting to doubt myself about all that I've done so far, ahrg.
memories from may 2015
Oh my, this day just disappeared. I feel like I just woke up. I've been out in the woods for hours today, filming material for a short "movie" and it looks like I need to take a few more shots tomorrow. Anyway, since I've been so busy this week and will be until Friday I won't have time for editing images from Bali, so a few memories from last year in May will have to do.
If you want to know what vegan stuff I put in my body? Follow @vegobyellen on instagram!
I took a little break earlier today from the screens and spent it in the sun with this lovely pink bowl. Who wants to eat dairy ice cream when this is around? Well not me, and that's a sure thing. A smoothie detox bowl of blueberries, blackberries, goldenberries, banana, kiwi, lemonjuice, mango, red ginger powder, ginger, maca powder and some ingredients I can't remember I threw in... Tasty as hell though! On top is just a few mulberries and coconut chips 🙌🏼
a fresh week
Guess what I'll be doing this week? + plus many more products, like spinach, frozen berries etc.

Some snapshots from my instagram @ellensimonea that you guys haven't seen here.
I ran 10 k today in the morning, such nice weather for running. Pretty hot and humid. Since then I've been working with my tests and I'll continue now. I hope you guys have a nice Sunday!
bali, ubud, views, week 2
This is how almost every building looks like in Bali, so beautiful! It feels really spiritual to me.
bali, ubud, rice fields, week 2
Images from a rainy day at the rice fields close to Ubud. It was really beautiful there, hard to walk around though, so steep and slippery!
One more of these. I've been working all day with illustrations, I'm feeling pretty stressed about it and it's so hard to come up with good ideas that won't look bad or ridiculous! It's for a school I'm applying to but yeah, hard competition and the tests I'm doing are really difficult.
Dinner table from the weekend, I stole some cherry branches from a cherry tree near by. It's so beautiful with these kinds of flowers and it gives me strong feelings of spring and summer, perfect for a table setting like this!
I wish my hair would stay that way without any products, but I can't stand to have things in my hair if it doesn't make it smooth! I've only used water here though, but it dries so fast. Any tips for products that will do this without making it not nice to touch? I don't want to use oil.
dinner in the garden
Images from my birthday one week ago. My family is sitting in the garden around 8 in the evening in 24 degrees, and we're eating food fresh from the grill. Today there's another reality... it's raining and only 6 degrees outside. I would be lying if I didn't say I miss the sun, but it's also pretty cozy with the rain pouring down my window!
bali, ubud, don't worry be sexy - but no naked, week 2
I love that sign! The waterfall was loud as hell and it really felt like rain when you got close!
A beautiful place close to Ubud, pretty crowded with people though :/.
bali, ubud, restaurant, week 2
Our favourite place in Ubud, a vegan and vegetarian resturant located 10 meters from the hotel. These salads cost 30.000 IDR each, which is 20 SEK. Pretty crazy. I ordered some sort of detox drink which was a little hard to swallow due to the distinct celery taste... I am not a big fan of celery!

My look last saturday. I found that body at HM a few weeks ago and it's my favourite top at the moment, perfect fit and I don't have to wear a bra which I actually prefer. Today I'm working all day with illustrations, film and ideas. A lot of process going on in my brain at the moment, overload.
bali, ubud, coffee plantage, week 2
My family had dinner at PM in Växjö before my brother and I headed to a pre game. I'll show you my look later in another post. Anyway, the food was good, a little boring though and I could have made a better vegan dinner myself (and the restaurant have 1 Guide Michelin star, tells something about my vegan cooking right? ;))) )
bali, ubud, jungle fish infinity pool, week 2
swimsuit from asos
Oh haha, it wasn't meant to be so many pictures... but this place is so beautiful so I had yo show you all of them. Well, the place is called Jungle Fish and is located just outside of Ubud. That infinity pool was so cool! If you're ever going to visit Ubud when traveling around on Bali, and want to catch some sun in the middle of all culture, ricefields and sightseeing, is this the place to do that!
Images from yesterday. You can see in these images what I was talking about in the last post, the weather was and still are marvelous! Anyway, we had a lovely salad for lunch before tasting (okey I had more than 2 pieces haha...) the raw food and frozen "cheesecake" (really cashew cake). It was a raspberry lemon cake with a raspberry sauce on top. The cake was truly the best cheesecake I've ever eaten, yes much better than the ordinary ones. I had also made chocolate balls with dates instead of sugar and as sides to the cake was a vanilla custard and a soy cream. Not to forget, blueberries, strawberries and actually some raw cacao beans! (Both lunch and "fika" was vegan)
It's my 22'd birthday today, and the weather is magical, 24 degrees and sunshine! I'm so happy!
I'm wearing a skirt and top from Gina Tricot, necklace from BikBok.
Found these ones which I shot last week. I've been working all day today, and I've only been carrying around heavy stuff. So I'm pretty tired in my body, also because I slept so bad :(. Anyway, my family is going out for dinner at the restaurang PM & Vänner in Växjö tonight, I'm excited to see what vegan stuff they will prepare for me, fingers crossed they won't use any capsicum! After dinner I'm going out to Deluxe with some friends, excited!

As soon as I get some sun (okey, this is a lot of sun haha...) and freckles in my face, I feel so fresh without any makeup on. I've never been brown in my skin like this before in my short life. Since we have a lot of UV radiation here in Sweden I always get sun excema and can't be out in the sun for to long :(. But since I already have a sunburn from Bali (where the UV radiation actually is lower) I don't get any excema now only a deeper sunburn! Wiho! Oh, and my legs and stomach always get a deeper burn than the rest of my body, as you can see in the images above haha, pretty visible.
brunch under the sun
Ahhhh! I LOVE Sweden when the weather is like this! 20 degrees in the shadows! Oh and I promise, I'm not brunching alone in the grass, Julia was with me. She's home for the weekend but traveled away until Saturday again so I won't see her before that. Anyway, we had a vegan brunch in the sun with chia pudding, honey melon, beetroot/ginger juice and momys homemade buns with vegan cheese and arugula. Really jummy and cozy, I miss having her in town!
bali, ubud, monkey forest, week 2
Ubud Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a tropical sanctuary for mokeys in the middle of Ubud, they are free to go where ever they want and don't need to stay in the forest. To me the mokeys are really cute and there was so many baby monkeys everywhere. Alice was actually scared of the monkeys, but she's pretty scared of animals overall haha... I however really liked the forest and it was a lovley experince to be so close to free roaming monkeys! I am not a fan of zoos, so places like this makes me happy. Sorry for many pictures, but the tropical forest is so beautiful, so different to the deep pine tree forests here in Småland.
surfing on those bali waves
I had just jumped up on the surfboard in the last image, therefore the funny position, I have a lot of those haha. If you ever think about learning how to surf, arm and back muscles are crucial! I've never been so tired in my arms before, and that only of paddeling and pushing myself up to a jump!
During the third day of surfing I burned my legs so bad in the midday sun (we've been surfing in the morning the two days before) so I had to wear my sweatpants for the rest of the week. Oh and I had sunscreen 100 on my legs and still got burned....
People who are really good at surfing would probably laugh at this but I'm actually proud of myself! I've never ever done something like this before. I've never even touched a surfboard before this 5 days of surfing. Anyhow, before every surf lesson we did have a little bit of theory. In which they taught us about the water, waves and what we're supposed to practice that day in the water.
On to what I actually managed during my 5 days of surfing: I succeded to turn the surf board both left and right, and since I'm regular footed I prefer to turn left, because then I can grab the rail to make the wave push on the board so it will go even faster (which I also managed!). I did also "dance" on the board, which means taking steps to the front or back of the board to change the balance. Oh, and I did stand on all four and surf on really small waves when there wasn't any point in getting up, that's pretty fun to do, but it looks ridiculous ;). The only thing I felt was really hard, during these days of surfing, was when I fell of the board in the impact zone... and got stuck there for a while. At some point I got taxi from one of the instructors since I didn't manage to get myself out of there before the next set of waves came (To tired of paddeling in my arms and sholders). And... those eskimo rolls are not funny to do to many in a row haha.... especially NOT in big waves!
With all of this in mind I would love to get even better and surf more! So maybe I'll book a surfweek somewhere else in the world in a not to distant future, but next time somewhere closer to Sweden!
When life gives you lemons, listen to lemonade. This woman is a genius.
surfer girl part 1
I have so many pictures of me and this surfboard haha... so I'll make 2 parts. Oh and yes, I do have images (really bad ones) from when I'm surfing too, I'll show you those soon! It is so much fun to surf, I love it, and I want to get better. I didn't think I would manage to surf that well in just a few days. I was actually pretty nervous about even standing on that board to begin with, but I managed that and much more. I'll tell you all about it in a seperate post! I hope you guys have a nice first day in May!

I hope you guys have a really nice Valborg! I'm celebrating with my brother this year, and we're having dinner at Kafe Deluxe in Växjö, we will probably stay there until late as well, dance to some good music and drinking beer. Cheers to the weekend!
