bali, ubud, monkey forest, week 2
Ubud Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a tropical sanctuary for mokeys in the middle of Ubud, they are free to go where ever they want and don't need to stay in the forest. To me the mokeys are really cute and there was so many baby monkeys everywhere. Alice was actually scared of the monkeys, but she's pretty scared of animals overall haha... I however really liked the forest and it was a lovley experince to be so close to free roaming monkeys! I am not a fan of zoos, so places like this makes me happy. Sorry for many pictures, but the tropical forest is so beautiful, so different to the deep pine tree forests here in Småland.
surfing on those bali waves
I had just jumped up on the surfboard in the last image, therefore the funny position, I have a lot of those haha. If you ever think about learning how to surf, arm and back muscles are crucial! I've never been so tired in my arms before, and that only of paddeling and pushing myself up to a jump!
During the third day of surfing I burned my legs so bad in the midday sun (we've been surfing in the morning the two days before) so I had to wear my sweatpants for the rest of the week. Oh and I had sunscreen 100 on my legs and still got burned....
People who are really good at surfing would probably laugh at this but I'm actually proud of myself! I've never ever done something like this before. I've never even touched a surfboard before this 5 days of surfing. Anyhow, before every surf lesson we did have a little bit of theory. In which they taught us about the water, waves and what we're supposed to practice that day in the water.
On to what I actually managed during my 5 days of surfing: I succeded to turn the surf board both left and right, and since I'm regular footed I prefer to turn left, because then I can grab the rail to make the wave push on the board so it will go even faster (which I also managed!). I did also "dance" on the board, which means taking steps to the front or back of the board to change the balance. Oh, and I did stand on all four and surf on really small waves when there wasn't any point in getting up, that's pretty fun to do, but it looks ridiculous ;). The only thing I felt was really hard, during these days of surfing, was when I fell of the board in the impact zone... and got stuck there for a while. At some point I got taxi from one of the instructors since I didn't manage to get myself out of there before the next set of waves came (To tired of paddeling in my arms and sholders). And... those eskimo rolls are not funny to do to many in a row haha.... especially NOT in big waves!
With all of this in mind I would love to get even better and surf more! So maybe I'll book a surfweek somewhere else in the world in a not to distant future, but next time somewhere closer to Sweden!
When life gives you lemons, listen to lemonade. This woman is a genius.
surfer girl part 1
I have so many pictures of me and this surfboard haha... so I'll make 2 parts. Oh and yes, I do have images (really bad ones) from when I'm surfing too, I'll show you those soon! It is so much fun to surf, I love it, and I want to get better. I didn't think I would manage to surf that well in just a few days. I was actually pretty nervous about even standing on that board to begin with, but I managed that and much more. I'll tell you all about it in a seperate post! I hope you guys have a nice first day in May!

I hope you guys have a really nice Valborg! I'm celebrating with my brother this year, and we're having dinner at Kafe Deluxe in Växjö, we will probably stay there until late as well, dance to some good music and drinking beer. Cheers to the weekend!
bali, bluepoint beach uluwatu, week 1
swimsuit MOTEL bikini top MONKI / bottom ASOS pants TOPSHOP blouse BIKBOK sunglasses INDISKA
A bunch of images from Friday week 1 when Alice and I visited Bluepoint Beach. It was the lay day when we didn't have any surf lessons. So we spent the day at this beautiful location. To get to the beach you had to walk down a lot of big and scary staircases! And when you finally reached the bottom you had to go through a small cave system to find the big beach, which only is "big" when it's a low tide, it would be very hard to get to that beach dry if the tide is high haha! Anyway, this place is one of the most famous surf points in the world and we did see a lot of surfers, both on the waves and beach, candy for the eye! ;)
bali, uluwatu water temple, kecak dance, week 1
During our first week at the surfcamp Alice and I spent an evening in the Uluwatu Water Temple. We also watched the special Bali dance called Kecak. Its "music" is only made up of a choir of men singing in a pretty special way. The dance and music tells a story from the Hinduism religion. It lasted an hour and you got to se the beautiful sundown when watching the dance, but it was pretty clouded. Instead we got to see a sky full of lightnings at a distance. Beautiful but a little bit scary, especially since the power went of in the end of the dance, as you can se in the last picture!
bali, balangan beach, week 1
the swimsuit I'm wearing is from ASOS
A few images from one day during our first week at the surf camp. We had been surfing early in the morning so later on, around noon, Alice and I joined the Danish guys to Balangan Beach, which means that we had to sit behind their backs on scary scooters that everyone drives in Bali! (And they drive like crazy, just one scooter could carry a whole family of 5 with newborns and no safety precautions, like helmets, at all !!!?) However, I brought my camera so we made a little shoot at this really beautiful beach! It was low tide as you can see since the coral reef/seaweed is visible. We got back to the camp before dark so we didn't see the sundown. And yes there's a lot of stunning images of Alice as well, but she hasn't seen them yet so I'll wait with showing you guys that beauty!
bali, surfcamp week 1, part 1.
Here's a few images from our first week in Bali at the LaPoint Surfcamp, Balangan. Such a fresh and beautiful camp, I really liked staying here and the people we met were amazing. We had a blast surfing, getting to know new friends, partying and so on! I have many more pictures to show you guys from our first week in Bali!

Commercial work which I did for the clothing brand ADPT. (Bestseller), female section, last year in October. Shot in Brande, Denmark, together with Morten and the beautiful model Mikaela Møller!
I've been packing all day! I'll tell you what for tomorrow!
jacket ZARA turtle neck sweater BIKBOK pants MONKI shoes NIKE AIR MAX 90 sunglasses BIKBOK septum TBA
I really like those pants, comfy but still kind of dressy. Oh and the pants has the same military green from top to bottom, it's just the light in the pictures that makes it look different. Anyway, I'm working today from 12 to 19:30, I need to work but I don't have time for it really so yeah, I am ambivalent in my mind today.
Pictures from my Easter celebration with family and friends on Öland. My dress is from Monki, totally in love with it! Anyway, I have a few errands to run today and a lot of things to do. I feel a bit stressed about it it so I better get started right away. Oh well, I already has, since I woke up at 7 :O.
raw dinner in sunlight
Mom thought that the food I had two days ago looked really delicious so she wanted to have it too. Anyway, I can't get enough of that mango salsa so I was happy to make it again, this time a little different. Mango salsa: mango, tomato, avocado, strawberries, red onion, cilantro, lime juice and hearbsalt, everything finely chopped. We had the salsa in cosmopolitan sallad leaves and together with the other salads which you can see in the pictures. The thick and delicious smoothie contains one frozen banana, a large kiwi, frozen mango, kale, lime, maca powder also a mixture of spirulina, neem, wheatgrass and chlorella powder! Super yummy oh and well, healthy!
outfits 2015 part 2
The second part of my outfits from 2015. Today I've been busy busy busy with packing, exchanging money, buying the last stuff that I need and sewing etc etc. I'm working tomorrow and on friday so I won't have much time to do anything those two days.
vegan raw food detox game
The vegan raw food detox game is on! I'm eating vegan raw food this week to boost myself with as much nutrients as possible before heading to... well I'll tell you guys soon, it's not a big secret but I'll write a full post about it shortly!
Anyway this raw food tacos was delicious, a guacamole (avocado, red onion, cilantro, lime and tomato), mango salsa (cilantro, tomato, mango, lime and red onion) and some finely chopped cabbage seasoned with chili, cilantro, cumin and other taco herbs. It shows pretty clearly that I love cilantro! Oh and mango, I can't get enough of mango!

sneak peek of latest work
photographer ELLEN SIMONE makeup ÅSA ENGSTRÖM model MONIKA KACZANOWSKA/elite stockholm
Here's a sneak peek of my latest work, I'll be publishing the whole series very soon so keep on reading this little thing called blog. Anyway, I've been planning my trip (I'll tell you about which trip soon!) with Alice today and later on in the afternoon I had a cup of coffee with Rebecca at Condeco! A great day which will end with some glasses of wine with friends! Happy friyey!
Bought this new Necklace at BikBok a few days ago and I'm liking it so much. Almost in love with it. It's supposed to be a choker necklace, but it's a little to big for my neck so it fits me a little lower insead, but I think that looks beautiful as well! I just got out from the shower, I went to the gym this morning even though I was a bit ambivalent it I should or not. Now I'll find me some lunch to eat before heading to work!
Playing games with my gal Julia the other day. I went to the gym before work today and I'll probably go tomorrow as well. However, tomorrow is supposed to be the absolute most hectic day for supermarkets of the whole year. Not eager to work in the cash out at all!
I'm sitting in front of my screen, sketching on ideas and looking at inspiration, videos, images etc. But I'm really bad with finding great short films that are inspirational. Do anyone of you know any great short film/fashion film makers? Or sites where I easily can find really good short films? Please hit me with what you got!
I went to the gym earlier this morning, feeling so good now. I finally got off my lazy ass yesterday and bought myself a gym card, only the card itself though! My job gives all their employees free gym at Idrottskliniken in Växjö, so no excuses anymore! So stupid of me not to get this earlier haha... well.
A roasted pear appetizer, a recipe adapted from Jamie Oliver. You'll find Oliver's recipe here. There's three more dishes from this dinner that I have left to show you. You just gotta hang in there for a little while! And not to forget, Jamie Oliver's site has a lot of vegan, glutenfree and vegetarian recipes you should check it out!
yesterday yesterday yesterday
You'll have to do with and old picture. Yesterday's dinner and party was great. I don't remember when I got home or when I fell asleep but I was a bit hungover this morning, and I still am. However, I've been fighting through the headache and sleepiness since I've been working from 12:30 to 20:00. We went to Deluxe after the dinner and Bo Kaspers was standing in the middle of the floor playing music, totally unannounced, so much fun!
sunshine and shadow
Picture from my Instagram @stylebyellen. I'm going to my workplace yearly party tonight. I've never been to one so I'm curious about it!
Dinner night tonight then. Mom and dad are having some guests over for dinner and seeing that I'm working tomorrow (and are going out tomorrow as well) I decided to join them. However, since I decided to join them I somehow got responsible for choosing recipes and some of the cooking. Mom finds it pretty hard to find good and exciting vegan recipes. In my opinion I think she's a little bit lasy, particularly since she don't want to spend that extra time, which it takes for her, to read recipes written in English. Well, I think we have some good ones now, I did the dessert yesterday so I won't have that all over me tonight. I'll try to snap good photos for you guys, because I think it will turn out gorgeous and mouth watering!
Kimono from With Love Jessica xx
Hanging around at home like this today! In this hairstyle I feel like my childhood idol Sailor Moon, and I kind of like it! Today I'll be working with images and try to finish the series I made in Stockholm a few weeks ago! So many choices and great images, so... kill your darlings.
Hi guys! I need your best tips for travel backpacks! Which size and brand? I'll try to borrow one from someone I know for this travel but if I can't find one I'll have to be one. I've been looking at Fjällräven's Kajka, but I don't know anything about this stuff so... well, I'm working today from 10-19. 9 hours at work is a pretty exhausting.
