A weird little selfportrait (I think?) created with markers. Made this drawing last Friday but I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but it growed on me! I like to work with just black markers, it's so grapich! I was supposed to go out running yesterday but the weather didn't let me, and today I'm too hungover haha.
black and white drawing
This is how my little beginning to a sketch the other day turned out! I like it! I have a lot to tell you guys about yesterday but a lot of stuff I wasen't prepared to happened today so I need to deal with that first!
sketching and coffee
Today I've been sketching a little and I had a lunch with Johanna. I just got out of a warm shower. I've been treating my body so good with a coconut oil, salt and lemon scrub! I can't remember the other ingredients but it's all natural and the scent of it is wonderful! It do sting with the salt and lemon if you have some scratches, not to recommend if your sensitive to that type of pain! haha... It's so weird that I'm still really tanned, especially my legs!
I just had to join in on this thing. Anyway... I wonder what the world will look like if he wins the election. I'm rooting for Hillary, as every sane man would do, in my opinion. However, on to something a little more exciting! Julia and I are taking on a new challenge, a 30 day challenge actually! I'll tell you all about it tomorrow!
When I have a lot on my mind I often turn to sketching. To me it's relaxing. I've been sketching a lot lately, this little drawing above is from today. And yeah... it has been chaos today with different job offers and such... my head is chaos, but I really hope it will sort out to my advantage tomorrow!
Play around with black and white.
drawing an illustration
Made this one yesterday, A3 sized marker paper.
Another one which I made the other day, also painted direct with markers on paper.
Here's one more drawing made with markers on a A3 paper which I did a few days ago.
No rubber for this one, I used a black promarker, a white gel pen and one 0.2 mm black pen.
It looks a lot like a young Angelina Jolie to me but I did not draw her haha!
a human heart which i sketched this morning
Lips. Also mindless drawing, this time in forms of lips!
Mindless Drawing. I really like to do these kind of stuff when watching movies, especially when it's raining outside and when I need to relax. Because it is truly relaxing to do something creative in a mindless way like this. No pressure to be exact or to create something you like. However, I think you'll end up liking it in the end. Pattern is easy and fun to do, try it!
Since I'm still sick (a lot better today though yey!) I can't do much so I found myself to be in a creative mode. I'm painting herbs and plants, nothing super serious mostly just for fun and I got inspired from the visit to Oslo's botanical garden! ANYWAY, it's the Swedish holiday Midsummer tomorrow and I'm spending it in Växjö with friends. I'm not going to celebrate it on Öland this year and it's the first time in my whole life that I'm not spending my Midsommar on Öland. Crazy, right! That I've spent all my Midsummers on Öland I mean...
A drawing I did earlier today of my favourite herb cilantro. My weekend in Oslo was great! It was so much fun to hang with Julia and let her show me the beautiful Oslo. Also lovely to meet her room mates! But of course, I got a cold in Oslo so my eyes are watering every other minute and my nose feels really thick of snot, argh... and I'm working from 7-17 tomorrow....
When life gives you lemons, listen to lemonade. This woman is a genius.
finished the selfie
It's a close up of the first image in THIS post!
So this is what the drawing looks like at the moment. Okay I guess I have to say that I'm finished with this self portrait now, but I'm a perfectionist and could go on for ages with just one thing. But at some point I need to tell myself that it is enough! Hahaha! Anyway, I feel a little rusty so I'll try to draw more often than every other year x).
self portraits in graphite
HERE's the finished verison of the left drawing // left drawing from THIS post // instagram@stylebyellen
It's been two years since I last drew something, so I thought it was about time. I'm almost done with these two self portraits, I just have a few adjustments left. Anyhow, I also think these two drawings are the first self portraits I've ever done in graphite. AND, OH Yes, I did forget how much time I need to spend on each painting, my back hurts like hell now!
Sorry guys for a late update, and I totally forgot to take a photo of the two new beauties from Monki. I actually went to the gym earlier today and after that I had a nice cup of coffee with a friend, which I just got home from. So you'll have to settle with this picture I drew the other day. I should probably call it "big mouth", or something like that...
colours and glitter
Got my hands, and the kitchen haha, dirty today, well not really... more like glittery and colorful! Anyway all of this is for my exam work and I am not done with it yet, not even close... I have some more editing to do, even a photoshoot left... and some more colouring!
